The resort of Side, formerly a quiet village, is now a touristy town, on which it makes a lasting impression. The main advantage of Side is the snow-white sandy beaches and the purest sea, as well as the surrounding nature, characteristic of the coast of Turkey. In addition, it is the center of historical architectural monuments of the ancient period. The beautiful climate and sea air, the panoramas of the mountains and the Green Canyon, saturated with the aroma of numerous conifers and eucalyptus trees give the resort its uniqueness.
The ancient Greek name for the city means "granate." This fruit in ancient times was a symbol of the city. Today, this tree can be seen in many alleys and parks of the city. The well-maintained areas of the hotels are teeming with lush vegetation. The beach line is quite wide, the entrance to the sea is gentle, gradual, which is very good for holidaymakers with children. Along the beaches there is a boulevard with a variety of representatives of flora: palm trees, pomegranate trees, lawns and flower beds, where it is pleasant to walk in the evenings.
