The weather in the popular Turkish resort of Side is not much different from other cities on the southwest coast. The bright Mediterranean subtropical climate has caused the region to have hot, dry summers and a short, wet, warm winter. The largest amount of precipitation will fall in December and January, the driest month - August. Even in the cooler months it is very often sunny and clear weather. In winter, the average temperature is not below 10 degrees, and the water in the sea is about 17 degrees. In summer, the peak temperature can reach 45 degrees, and sea water - about 28 degrees. The main tourist season, when there is a large influx of tourists, lasts from May to October. At the end of November the bathing season closes, but many tourists come to see numerous sights or relax in winter holidays or vacations.
